Desperate to learn more about Snow White's seven theives? You are not alone. Enjoy this behind this series of hidden scenes - the origin stories for each of the seven thieves. Before they took in a doomed princess, they were lost souls, looking for connection, hearth and home. One by one, they each found it - unexpected and unconventional though it was. Before the house in the trees, they each forged their own way through betrayal, heartbreak, pain and rage.
Now, as an army they seek to defend, but every great team starts in the shadows. Begin your deeper dive with Belden's story - the story of the leader who started it all...

Before he was a thief, Belden was a soldier. Loyal. Silent. Sharp. He stood at with the garrison at the King’s right hand. He watched the love between him and his first wife grow. Even heard the first cries of his beautiful daughter and wept hot tears when the good queen died.
When the new Queen arrived, he saw what no one else seemed to notice.
The King grew pale and distant, his mind clouded with shadows. The Queen whispered to him often, her voice like silk over stone. Belden stood guard through it all—until he began to notice something strange.
She never blinked.
Her eyes shone black.
She never slept.
And when she passed by, the torches dimmed.
Belden’s eyesight was failing, a secret he kept buried beneath pride and protocol. He couldn’t wear glasses—not in the palace, not as a soldier. But perhaps that was his salvation. Where others saw beauty, he saw blur. Where others saw grace, he saw distortion. The Queen’s glamour didn’t hold him the way it held the court.
So he did the unthinkable.
He appealed to the King.
He wrote a letter, sealed it with his blood, and placed it in the King’s chamber. That night, the Queen summoned him. She smiled. She asked him to kneel.
Then she ordered his death.
Belden fled with a blade in his side and frost in his lungs. He ran until the palace was a memory and the stars were strangers. And when he could run no more, he collapsed beneath a tree—massive, ancient, hollowed by time and magic. A tree big enough to house an army. Big enough to hide a man who had lost everything.
He thought he could never return to the palace, but he knew he could never forgot what he saw.
